The Brief

In 2015, for their 150th birthday celebrations, Oxford Brookes University asked Allwag to produce a selection of commemorative badges, handy soft feel notebooks, funky Americano mugs, all collated into bespoke boxes. We were asked to create ideas for a boxed staff thank you gift, containing practical promotional merchandise that would commemorate their 150th anniversary within a given budget. Quality and sustainability were key to the brief to ensure the gift embraced their CSR.

Our Solution

The final concept was a sustainable, recycled cardboard box with a flooded pantone print in 2 colours, bespoke made to ensure it was die-cut to fit all of the contents inside. We created a selection of merchandise to fit into the bespoke box: a UK Made, recyclable travel mug with a wrap printed in pantone colours; commemorative  pantone matched pin badges with a double sided backing card containing details of the 150th anniversary; pantone matched notebooks made with recycled paper; a USB with data upload of the Anniversary events; recyclable aluminium unique pen pot paint tin with calendar on the outside as a wrap to encourage it to remain on desks for 12months.

Results Delivered

Oxford Brookes University saved both time and money on this project through the collaborative project with Allwag. The procurement team at Oxford Brookes University managed to save the University £24,000 by managing the project and costings.
