After a long-awaited period of uncertainty and online events, many trade shows and exhibitions are back with a bang! At Allwag we love meeting clients in person so we can deliver the personalised service we are known for. Trade exhibitions are a superb place to connect with like-minded marketers and industry professionals, so we are excited to be exhibiting again!
On the 22nd and 23rd of November, the B2B Marketing Expo was held at ExCel London! This 2-day event focused on delivering marketing innovation to marketers to transform their way of working whilst also boosting their organisation’s growth strategy! Packed with marketing specialists delivering expert talks, industry-leading exhibitors and live demos, this expo would have left any attendee buzzing with new ideas. With over 6000 visitors in two days, the B2B Marketing Expo was the perfect event for us to exhibit at and promote sustainability.
Located next to our trade association the BPMA (British Promotional Merchandise Association), our sustainability experts Angela, Chris, Sarah and Emily were ready to answer attendees’ questions about the future of eco-friendly branded merchandise.
From plant-based bottles to seeded sticky notes, all merchandise on our stand was either reusable, recyclable, recycled, biodegradable or all of the above to promote the importance of sustainability on our planet.
Sustainability is now being encouraged and progressed within every element of the promotional merchandise supply chain, starting with how our materials are sourced and products are made. Our suppliers understand our client’s need for eco-friendly merchandise; many factories are establishing and implementing better ways of manufacturing to be sustainable.
From solar-powered energy to local, UK-based factories that cut down on carbon footprints, our suppliers are working with us to create a better future for our planet.
A wide range of materials used to make our sustainable merchandise have planet-positive properties. Popular materials like glass, cork, bamboo and aluminium are all recyclable, meaning they can be made into other products again.
Depending on our client’s campaign needs, different material options are selected for the desired sustainable outcome.
With our large selection of sustainable materials, we have an array of promotional merchandise made from them. On our B2B Marketing Expo stand, the popular branded merchandise items were:
This 100% recyclable tumbler is a popular, sustainable option for a useful coffee cup! Made from a mix of sugar cane-derived material and polypropylene, this eco-friendly material is a renewable source that absorbs carbon dioxide whilst growing and is a by-product of the sugar industry. The use of sugar cane means less oil is used in the manufacture of each tumbler.
Our branded eco-friendly sticky notes were a crowd-pleaser! Attendees loved this product due to its USP of being made from seeded paper. Once discarded, the outer packaging of the seeded sticky notes can be planted and a wildflower meadow will grow.
Struggling to measure the perfect rice portion? Our recycled measuring cup is the perfect quantity for a singular portion of rice. It also can be used for other loose grains and food, making plating up a mess-free exercise.
This kitchen accessory will get used time and time again, promoting your brand whilst helping the planet.
An everyday essential! Everybody needs a toothbrush, so why not make it sustainable? Made from the fastest-growing plant in the world, our branded bamboo toothbrush makes for a great sustainable giveaway.
An exhibition must have! Branded tote shopper bags will be used time and time again, whether it be around an exhibition collecting leaflets or carrying a laptop to the office, there is always a use for a promotional bag!
A blank canvas, our cotton shoppers have a large area that can be clearly branded with a logo or design.
These branded items were popular at the exhibition because they were all sustainable but they also had talking points which led our attendees to ask more questions. They were also given away as prizes.
Alongside the sustainable design of our stand and the expert knowledge of our team, a big attraction was our sustainability prize wheel. With each spin, a tree was planted and an eco-friendly gift was won! Over the two days, we were able to pledge to plant over 500 trees through our partnership with carbon offsetting organisation, Ecologi.
